Intuitive Painting

I have been exploring the concept of 'allowing' while I paint. To allow the paint to pour how it likes, to allow the paint to speak to me as I work with it. To speak to me of the mysteries of the Spirit and the Cosmos, to reveal truths about ancient pathways and to be make visible the things that are invisible.

These paintings have been made using various painting pouring techniques, acrylic on canvas. They are a part of a series of paint studies, to develop and understand how the medium behaves in order to produce a larger body of work for upcoming exhibitions.

Above and Below

On earth as it is in heaven.
Every valley shall be exalted
And every mountain and hill brought low;
Make straight in the desert;

Ancient Eyes

The eagle mounts up
And makes his nest on high. It's eyes penetrate the distance.
Look for the ancient pathways at the crossroads and move in them.

Above the Circle of the Earth

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, and calculated the dust of the earth?
It is He who sits above the circle of the earth. (abr Is 40)

Establish the Heavens

YHWH founded the earth by Wisdom. He established the heavens by Understanding, the depths are broken up by Knowledge and clouds drop down the dew. (Prov 3:19-20)

Equinox

Standing in the meeting place of the two waters, ngā wai e rua, wai-rua. The threshold place, the gateway, the liminal space between seasons and spaces. Don't be overcome by the swirling energies. Stand grounded like a stake in the ground, don't be moved by the rush of out-going energy or the swirling as the new energy meets it. Breathe through the chaos contained in order.

Sound of Thunder

Thunder crashes and rumbles in the skies. Listen! It’s God raising his voice!
By his power he stills sea storms, by his wisdom he tames sea monsters. With one breath he clears the sky, with one finger he crushes the sea serpent. And this is only the beginning, a mere whisper of his rule. Whatever would we do if he really raised his voice!

Be transformed by the renewing of your mind and by refiners fire. So that what remains after the shaking is unshakable.

Reflecting Heaven on Earth. Stand rooted and grounded, established in Love as the heaven and earth connection.

Te Pō

I huaina e te Atua te mārama - ko te Awatea, ā, ko te pōuri i huaina e ia - ko te Pō.

And God called the light -Day and the darkness -Night.
The light shines in the darkness and the darkness cannot overwhelm it.

Fire Rider

The One who sits on the white horse is called Faithful and True. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns. His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine white linen follow Him on white horses. Out of His mouth goes a sword, the Word that strikes nations. (abr. Rev 19)

Sapphire

I AM about to rebuild you with stones of turquoise and lay your foundations with sapphires. Stand firm, grounded in your temple. We are gates and doors, look for the ancient pathway and move in it. (Is54, Ps24)

Ascension

A pure river, the Water of Life, clear as crystal, proceeds out of the throne of God and of the Christ. Where the river flows everything will live.

Resound Your Voice

Release your Sound into the atmosphere. Speak life and not death, for what you speak you become.
As my WORD goes out it will not return to me void, but will go forth and establish what I intended. As we DECLARE, we ESTABLISH.
